Background
A group of women from Khulna Bangladesh formed Banophul in 1979. Banophul is an exclusively women organization with 35 members in the general body and an 11 members executive committee. The members of the NGO are recognized and renowned as social activist in Khulna region.
From the very inception, Banophul tried to cover the needs of distressed humanity, particularly the poor and, powerless women. In reality, Banophul is a small local volunteer initiative accomplishing backward support services and developing forward linkage for its target population. This organization was established to serve the people at grass roots level irrespective of casts, creed, sex, region, race, disability, age or religion for the beterment of their socio economic and health condition.
The aims and objectives of Banophul are as follows. All the objectives will be implemented after obtaining necessary permission from the govt. concerned and competent authority.

Healthy educated conscience united self-supported manpower. And a prepared Population for climate change.
Mission
Banophul works to improve the status of the poor and socially disadvantage population of Bangladesh mainly through Health & Family Planning services, Education, Gender equity, Water & Sanitation Project and Income Generation Activities. The main focus is on quality, new management skills / Human Resource Development and sustainability of these projects. Additionally, Banophul now also focuses on many projects which address the climate change issues because of the changing environment. Banophul wishes to help Bangladesh to prepare a climate resilient environment and population.
Organization Culture of Banophul
The Executive committee through the chief executive will maintain and manage all offices. programs, projects and day to day official business of the organization are run according to the organization’s fundamental approved rules and regulations, like, service rule, personal’s code of conduct, financial rules and manuals, etc. Every programs and projects are accountable to the general body through the executive committee. Executive committee meets by monthly to evaluate the progress of the different projects.
